Longines introduced the Flagship line in 1957, which, together with the Conquest line, marked the beginning of the company's present method of promoting timepieces under separate model lines. Many have dubbed theFlagship the ultimate dress watch of the 1950s due to its magnificent appearance. In 2017, Longines released a 60th Anniversary re-edition (called Heritage) model to commemorate the original. However, we prefer the original!
Technical & Condition:
Presented in excellent condition throughout. The dial is close to mint with the lume plots having taken on a wonderful subdued yellow which matches that on the hands. The case remains sharp and largely free from marks with the famous Big Ship on the case back clear to see. The appearance of the crown is quite aged but functioning well. The movement is clean and fully serviced. Finally, the watch is fitted with a new, 3rd party strap.
