The Seamaster was launched in 1948, in order to mark the brand's 100th year of creating timeless watches.To this day the Seamaster Range remains Omegas longest continuous line to date. To quote Omega, the Seamaster is loosely based on the waterproof wristwatches made for the British military at the end of World War II, the Seamaster was first intended as a robust yet elegant watch for active individuals who wanted a watch for town, sea and country.
Decades laterthese vintage pieces still fit the description of being fit for the active man about town (although we have to add it is not recommended to take vintage watches anywhere near the sea!). This particular example hails from circa 1967 and is fitted with a new Hirsch leather strap and Omega branded buckle. This watch works well in everything, from a suit to jeans and a t-shirt.
