With its maritime legacy in mind, Omega launched the Planet Ocean line in 2005. This Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M pays homage to Omega's dive watch heritage and features a 43.5 mm stainless steel case that holds a black ceramic dial under a scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal and bordered by a uni-directional rotating dive bezel on a black ceramic top ring. The Seamaster Planet Ocean's bezel is heat-pressed with a plating of Omega's Liquidmetal alloy, which makes it truly stand out. It has silver-tone and luminescent arrow hands, applied indices, and Arabic numerals at the 6, 9, and 12 o'clock as hour markers. This divers watch is also equipped with a screw-down crown, a discreet date aperture at the 3 o'clock position, and a helium escape valve at the 10 o'clock position. It is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet and secured by a stainless steel signed foldover clasp with diver extension. This watch also features a wave-edged exhibition caseback showcasing the Omega caliber 8900, a Swiss automatic movement and METAS-certified master chronometer beating at 25,200 vibrations per hour, is water-resistant up to 600 meters/2000 feet and can withstand elevated levels of magnetism up to 15,000 gauss.
