Vintage Speedmasters are a watch that need little introduction to anyone viewing this site. Most fans already know that this iconic watch was selected by NASA for all manned space missions and the simple rear case engraving bears testament to that fact and although the engraving is seldom seen it gives the wearer a sense of somehow being connected to that incredible achievement .To try to rationalize these feelings to a non watch fan is a waste of everyone's time and thats why I dont bother I simply enjoy wearing whatever Speedy I choose safe in the knowledge that many others share my feelings .It is perhaps these very feelings that have helped the values of these great watches soar to almost atmospheric heights over recent years and with the onset of the 50th anniversary rapidly arriving I dont see this dramatic rise ending any time soon if ever .

So my advice is when you see a great example of one dont hesitate as they are getting harder to source by the day.

This particular example which I am pleased to offer you is just such a watch ,dating from the early 1970's and with the prized original stepped dial which is simply stunning and the luminous material is terrific.the case remain's crisp and unpolished and the watch still has the original crystal and original pushers, even the original crown.

The cal 861 movement is also like new and functions perfectly.
