A fully serviced example of theRolex Datejust reference 1601 from circa 1966. We have a real soft spot for vintage Rolex Datejusts, with their uncanny (and some might say rather un-Rolex like) ability to be understated but at the same time truly eye catching.
Whilst we love our vintage Daytona's and subs, if we were pushed to choose a single model as our favourite, it would have to be the Datejust. It has everything you could ask for - an elegant and truly timeless design, great size at 36mm and powered (in this case) by the reliable calibre 1570 automatic movement.
This particular example features a mint condition dial with attractively aged lume plots, a clean and not overly polished case and is fitted to a brand new leather strap. An original Rolex strap and Rolex buckle is also included in the sale.
If you only ever buy one vintage watch, this could well be the perfect choice!
