An attractive vintage Rolex Oyster hailing from circa 1929. Originallylaunched in 1926 the introduction of the Rolex Oyster represents one of the most important landmarks in the Rolex story.
As for this example, as mentioned it hails from circa 1926, is made from 9ct gold and features the traditional cushion case associated with of this era. At 30mm wide excluding the crown it may seem small by today's standards but it perfectly suits the elegant, understated nature of this watch. The inner case backshowsthe Glasgow import marks for 9ct gold, 1929, together with Poinon de Matre, hammerhead, number 136, for C.R. Spillmann SA as well as its case number.

The watch is powered by a recently serviced 15 jewel mechanical wind movement. The dial has been professionally restored to the highest standard featuring black Roman numerals (with the exception of 12 o'clock),chemin de fer (aka rail track) chapter ring and sub-dial together with dark blue hands.
With similar examples selling for over 10,000 at certain traditional London dealers this stunning example is unlikely to hand around for long!
