An attractive example of the Rolex Oyster Royal 6144. Hailing from circa 1952, this Oyster Royal reference 6144 features a 32mm case and "Super Oyster" crown which was used by Rolex as an experiment against their traditional screw down Oyster crowns. Its rare to see a Super Oyster crown these days as most are swapped out during a service so this adds something quite special to this lovely watch!
Condition Report:
Presented in overall good vintage order. The dial remains clean and has taken on a beautiful and even patina. The hands have been re-lumed in the past but remain in good condition. The case remains in fair shape for its age with numerous light scratches as expected with its age but retaining good lines. The calibre 700 movement has been serviced and finally the watch is fitted with a new Hirsch leather strap.
