A beautiful 14k goldUniversal Geneve Uni-Compax reference 52509 from circa 1943. This stunning 36mm Universal Geneve Uni-Compax features a lovelyco-signed Black Starr & Gorham patinateddial with a blue tachymeter scale.

The dial is in excellent condition with even, attractive ageing. The printing may have been refinished at some point in the distant past but it retains its vintage charm. The 36mm 14k gold case also remains in decent shape considering its age. Inside the correct Swiss hallmarkfor 14kgold and the markers mark forJung & Cie are found.

The watch is powered by the reliable manual wind calibre 287 movement. Recently serviced, it's in excellent running condition. Of note you will see the letters "UOW" stamped on the movement,this is the US import code for Universal Geneve suggesting this was originally made for the US market.

We really do have a soft spot for Universal Geneve, they simply ooze class and pack a healthy dose of vintage soul to go with it! I won't lie, this particular piece was delayed getting listed as I couldn't resist some wrist time with it!
