Abeautiful example of the highly sought after Heuer Silverstone reference 110.313B - an icon of the 1970s that remains highly collectable and wearable today. This particular watch features a stunning original dial and was purchased from a single owner family alongside its original box and Heuer hangtag.
In 1974, the Heuer Silverstone was introduced as a successor for the Heuer Monaco. The Monoco's square casing was preserved in the Silverstone, but thecorners of the case weresoftened to create a case that is bothboldand graceful. The Silverstone was originally only available in three colours: red, "fume," and blue, with the blue variant becoming the rarest and most sought after by collectors today. Unusually for Heuer, the Silverstone portfolio was kept extremely straightforward, with only the dial colour separating the three main varieties, all of which shared the same case, movement, and hands.
This particular watch is agreat example of the Heuer Silverstone's rarer blue variant. There are expected age-related scratches to both the case and the glass, whichcan be seen in the photos. The dial, on the other hand, is in excellent shape, with the lume of the hour markers and hands having taken on a warm hue, which serves as an appropriate reminder of the watch's age and great history.
Technical & Condition:
Presented in overall good vintage condition. The case is in fair shape although does show numerous scratches to the case back. The dial is in excellent shape for its age with the lume plots having taken on a gorgeous yellow/cream shade. The glass shows numerous scratches to it, we were half tempted to have them polished out but it feels in keeping with the watch's history so we've left well alone. Finally, the strap is new and was custom made for this watch.
